There is NO ELASTIC on the waistband. False advertising.
Sizing is mostly correct, but if your boy is a true size 16 it can get uncomfortably tight. So I was planning to buy a size 16 with a little more. No matter what the label on the pants says, and no matter what the description says, they have absolutely no elasticity or stretch. Also, the material is thin and feels cheaply sewn together. If I knew all that, I would buy a completely different pair of pants. DO NOT BUY.
