Review on DTECH 50ft Thin VGA Cable - High-Quality Male to Male 15 Pin SVGA Computer Monitor Cord Flat Slim Adapter with Screws, 50 Feet Length in Purple by Bruno Gilbert

Sturdy and durable, good picture quality

So I needed to run a VGA cable from a PC to a 32 inch TV (used as a monitor) on a dresser in the bedroom. I also needed the flexibility to reposition the TV, perhaps further away from the PC. The VGA cable should be flat but strong. I originally chose this 50 foot flat cable from DTECH because it was EXTREMELY inexpensive, flat and long enough to fit anywhere in the bedroom. When the cable arrived I was surprised at how heavy it was. I half expected a very thin, somewhat light cable. I would call it super strong. Very durable. I was concerned there might be picture quality issues with this 50 foot cable. However, the picture quality is very good. No deterioration, what can I say. The flat design makes it easy to hide the cable. What and how to use the VGA cable: We have an IP camera in front of a 32-inch TV, which is used as a monitor for the cameras of our video surveillance system in the computer room. The bedroom has a computer with a regular monitor and a 32 inch TV on a dresser that doubles as an additional monitor. We have a mobile phone with an application to show what the IP camera "sees". The computer in the bedroom has an Android emulator installed with an IP camera application installed on it. So if everything is working, the Android emulator with the IP camera app will display what the camera sees and the image will be pulled onto a 32-inch TV screen on the dresser for viewing from the bed. With this VGA cable, anything that has a VGA port within 50 feet of the PC can be used as a monitor.

Cons
