Revane had a crazy deal for them - $23 a set! So I bought two without seeing the eyes. General Thoughts: - VERY easy to assemble. Unlike some other reviewers, I had no trouble aligning the holes. The legs at the bottom of the shelf provide good stability, especially on carpet, but I placed any heavier items on the bottom shelf for added insurance. - Heaviest thing I've put on here is about 30lbs but I think I could safely lift up to 50 judging by the strength - Looks more expensive than it is. Finally, the last test: I have two cats. You jump on everything. I don't want a shelf that tips over easily or gets destroyed by cat antics at 2am. My cats have jumped on it since I've had it, with no tipping, no scars (I trim their claws regularly) and no strain. My cats aren't exactly light either - think 16 pounds of muscle.
