I should have heeded the advice. Now the slide is ok. However, I had to sacrifice many meters of foil to get the foil off the roll in a usable form. One side of the roll was "folded" (the edge of the film was wrapped over the end of the roll) so the film was torn in place - every time. I had to take the reel out of the box, work with it for a few minutes, peeling the film off the reel and treating the tear with each revolution. After about 30 feet the kink was "fixed" and the film is performing as expected. So I had to spend 30 feet of foil to use the remaining 970 feet. My last roll of foil was purchased from GFS Marketplace and worked reasonably well with no foil loss due to poor manufacturing.
