Powerful bottle opener, suitable for corks
My mom had the same corkscrew that she and my dad got in the 70's for decades. She broke after 30-40 years so I bought her this model as a gift. I liked it so much that I bought one more for myself and two more as gifts for my future father-in-law. They are heavy and feel high quality. My fiancee took a little learning to learn how to use it but mastered it after a few tries. They are expensive but of high quality. I've found that after a few years of regular use, when the plug is difficult to remove, some metal filings come loose from the knurled shaft.
