The fittings on this particular probe are so new and so tight I feel like I have to push them off the hose side just to hear the click. I'm worried that doing this could break some of the plastic on the edges, causing an unreliable connection with the brush. Hence the reason for a missing star. As they say, this wand is what I definitely needed. Paying hundreds of dollars to replace the original because of a bad connection was just unthinkable. I wasn't ready to part with the vacuum, and I wasn't willing to buy Sears a $200 replacement wand if in doubt, or $300 for a new vacuum similar to the one I use. For a fraction of the cost, this wand got the job done. Thank you very much.
