. They are very heavy, especially the clasps on the ends of the hooks. I live in Jamaica, near the sea, so there is an issue with these connections being affected by the weather here. The problem is 2 times. Vinyl floors degrade over time when exposed to sunlight. I have noticed that after about 18 months the cable coating begins to crystallize. Also, since my dog is a Rottweiler with character, he tends to put those bonds to the test. Salty air, rain and the scorching sun will wear out the end of the cable over time. I want the reader of this review to understand that I am happy with these ties because I believe there are no heavier ones in the pet market. But time, weather, sun exposure, and use will eventually take their toll on these bonds. Still at 23.00 a great price for my ebony.
