When you need to route along the edge of a workpiece to create sharp, straight grooves, slots or even edge profiles, this block is for you. It is made in a quality way from quality components. You can adjust the edge guide as little as possible. I bought it for my Bosch 1617 and used it in the manner described above and also for circle cuts. Yes, it even helps you create circular cutouts and profiles. It also includes accessories for use in dust collection operations to keep the workspace clean. It is quick and easy to install on the router. Simply loosen the set screws on the base, insert the rods into the slots on the base and retighten the screws/wing nuts. After that you need to adjust the stop so that the edge of the chisel is where it is needed. I would suggest starting with trimming so you can also make microscopic adjustments that are easy to make with the machine before milling the final piece. With edge profiles, you might as well "sneak up" instead. Overall this is a very well made tool that does its intended purpose very well and I would recommend it.
