The entire upper of the shoe is made of dense mesh, with the exception of the laces and Velcro closure. You definitely won't want to wear this shoe in rainy/wet weather. The woven mesh design has several different patterns and color changes across the shoe, giving it an interesting look. Although the shoes have laces, they are actually attached so there is nothing to tie at all. Only one Velcro buckle is used to fasten the shoes, which is good for young people. The inside of the shoe is comfortable. There is a lot of cushioning in the heel area of the insole and the arch support is good. The shoe's outsole is made of soft rubber, has a waffle pattern for traction, and an air-cushioned heel that you can see through. This is a cute little shoe that is easy to slip on and secure. .
