Does not reduce ammonia levels.
Did not lower aquarium ammonia levels 1 week after installation (tank was at 1.5ppm). The only reason it gets 2 stars and not 1 is because it smoothes the flow of water out of the pump. But it doesn't really do what it's designed to do, ie reduce ammonia levels.
