Ideal lightweight pants for skiing or snowboarding. They have a slim fit so you can wear them to a bar or restaurant after skiing without looking out of place. And as another reviewer pointed out, they don't have the "garbage bag" noise that other ski pants make when you walk in them. Note: Anyone who goes out in cold temperatures is better advised to wear thicker ski pants. These are definitely lightweight pants. I can also confirm that they are waterproof. I wore them skiing on a warm but very rainy day in Southern California and they kept my underwear dry. They also dried quickly overnight even when most of my other clothes were wet the next morning.
