Got this for my HP 404dn - planning ahead I ordered them before I ran out of ink so didn't have a return window - which is my fault I didn't check them. HP must know about a good deal without using their replacement. To use them you need to remove the small chip from the old cartridge and insert it into the new one. This is a complete joke, this will never happen, but don't worry they have the worst tweezers of them all to help you out! HP has bonded these chips so well that they cannot be removed without destroying them. Since I was already deep in it, I decided to pull it out. To do this I had to cut and pick out all the plastic around it. Needless to say the chip broke in two, breaking my nail and wasting time and money. Save yourself!
