Works great with USB sticks. USB hard drives. Not as much. I added a 10W power adapter but my Seagate 4T will no longer connect or disconnect. My 1T can stay installed or not. All hard drives work fine when connected directly, so I'm not sure if using a hub will cause power or data conflicts that will turn off the hard drives. I give up. So I bought a second one, exactly the same problems. When using two USB drives, files become corrupted or freeze during transfer. This uses an external 3 amp power supply on two different motherboards. No problems with anything solid state. I need something certified for hard drives so I returned that.
