After carefully researching all types of steak knives I thought this sounded like the best choice and it turned out to be the best choice! The handles are men's sized which really impressed my husband. The knives cut through the steak as easily as if it were butter. Depending on the type of steak you're eating, you might not even need to cut through the meat with a sawing motion, you might just need to apply pressure, as we found when eating a flank steak. It is recommended not to put them in the dishwasher. They are easy to hand wash and dry. They come in a very nice storage case and each knife has its own plastic sheath and blade guard. I'm really impressed with them and when my husband saw them he thought I had made a very good choice. As a woman unfamiliar with steak knives, I'm happy to say I've impressed my husband.
