So far I am satisfied with this pearl. I used it for the first time this morning and thank goodness the coffee doesn't scald. I used an existing bag of fine ground coffee and there wasn't much ground coffee left in my cup. I certainly didn't have ground coffee as recommended, so I strained it through the filter a bit before pouring it into the coffee maker. Next time I'll fill it in before adding the soil or add the soil over the sink. The metal filter was hot to the touch to remove, so grab a tool or something so you don't get too hot. Not sure if he was hot enough to burn himself but didn't want to be a test subject. Next time I'll pour coffee without first removing the filter. I bought it to take to the beach. This will save a life.
