This is a useful small straight grinder. The short body fits in one hand and is fairly well balanced (assuming the air hose isn't dragging you from side to side). It is a strong all-metal body that does not leak and has a good effect on paddle grip. I used one of the stone grinding attachments that came with it and it worked well, but I got this tool for woodworking, especially with some burr cutting. I tested it with a cylindrical cutter for quick grooving around hardware, and while my skill level didn't allow me to make anything really nice, the power this grinder provided allowed me to make clean, controlled cuts. When delivered, the 1/4" collet was very tight, so I had to hit the Taita drill bits with a rubber mallet the first few times. The bits that came with the kit were supposed to have a slightly smaller diameter, since they didn't have this problem (at first I thought , the collet might be an odd metric size because of that, but no, it's just tight). It's nice that they include a 1/8" collet so I can use all my Dremel bits as well. I know, that I will be reaching for this tool often in upcoming projects. There is nothing more useful than a hand sander! I know I will need this tool.
