I've been using a very thin and soft minimalist wallet for a number of years and recently got a replacement. I should have paid more attention to the size. This is the largest and thickest wallet I have ever owned. The place where you could put your paper money is DEEP. You could probably take the top off a full inch and it would still be US currency. My own fault for not checking the size. Despite that, it seems to be of good quality and the layout is really good. There is plenty of space, the chain is a bit short for me. When I attach the chain to the front belt loop and the wallet is in the back pocket, it's just long enough not to feel tight. If you're not as round as me (trousers with a 36/38 waist) this might be fine. If you wear oversized pants and use a handbag like me, it might feel tight on your side. As long as it works for me, I might look into the minimalist style if it hurts my butt too much to sit on.
