I bought these to replace my cheap acrylic glasses. I wanted something that didn't look like plastic, but my family is accident prone so I didn't want glass. I didn't search and found that the material these glasses are made of is the newest material and is a bit more expensive. However, this brand is cheaper. The plastic feels almost like rubber. I'm afraid they will scratch slightly, but not yet. The material is very similar to glass. They have been washed several times in the dishwasher and still look clean. The bottoms are concave so they collect water even after the drying cycle. They have water stains. Otherwise I am very satisfied with these glasses.
