Our daughter is a size 12.5 so we ordered a 13 thinking it would give her some wiggle room. The shoes have arrived and are adorable; she liked them very much. However, they are too big. I didn't think the half size is so much bigger. The strap on her feet was also very loose - since you could slip your toe between the strap and her foot - so her feet had no chance of staying in the shoes. In fact, she spent the day trying to get out of them. We'll keep her because her legs will grow back, but I'm not sure the strap will ever be useful. I would encourage buyers to order the size their children actually wear, or maybe even a click.
