The purpose of these is to make your shirt look like you somehow magically prevent it from coming partially untucked and creating a muffin top-esque appearance. They do a very good job of that - the clips are secure and they stay put on my legs. They're also pretty comfortable (although feel a little weird to wear at first), and I forget I'm wearing them.My only minor qualm is that the outlines of the clips and the length adjusters are slightly visible if I'm wearing slimmer pants and/or in certain leg positions, but I think this is mostly obscured by pockets anyway, so I don't think it's a big deal. I don't think anyone would notice.
