Pretty yet small

Nice jacket. Looks well made. The outer fabric is soft and silky, the inner fluff is soft, not dense loft, but it will certainly do for a moderate winter. The style is perfect, elongated and not square. The color is perfect, very close to the photo on the web. I bought Meridian Blue. My problem was with the size! I usually wear size 18 or 1x. I ordered this jacket in size X Large. There is a gap of about 4 inches from the front from top to bottom. I would say it's size 14. What should I do? As this is a beautiful jacket I decided to give it to my daughter for Christmas. She travels a lot and this jacket folds up nicely for packing. I am very disappointed for myself but happy for my daughter!
