This is a nice little table where the keyword isn't much. The overall height is less than 23 inches from the floor to the top of the rail. Ground to level surface 18-1/2”. I foolishly thought the height measurement given was for a flat surface and not a rail. It's really too short as a bedside table or coffee table. I bought this for my mum in the closet to use for her socks and stuff when she comes over for a long visit each year as I thought we could then move her suitcase out of the room to give her more space . But this little guy is so low on the ground that she has to stand on her head to reach the drawers. I'll try to find something to set it up to make it easier for her to use. However, it is well made, light weight, the black paint is evenly applied, the drawers have a thin fabric lining and it arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. The swivel wheels on what I have don't lock, so you have to hold the stand with one hand and open the drawers with the other. This would be a 5 star purchase if you need something very small that can be moved, but it's certainly not ideal as a side table or practical drawers.
