Just received a new 2018 Chevy Silverado, needed a seat cover to protect against fading while working in the desert this summer. Yes, the material is thin. This is the same material as most seat covers and is not waterproof. So if you spill a large amount of liquid, it's obviously not waterproof. This is where responsible ownership comes in, you must not make a mess. It's faded a bit in the few months I've had it, but it's $20 so it's not a big deal if I have to buy another one. Will it fit perfectly on my truck's seats? No, but they do an excellent job of protecting cloth seats from crumbs and food. The print itself is very well done, does not tear or stain, it is printed directly onto the fabric during production.
