Review on πŸ–₯️ Optimized Logitech S510 Wireless Desktop by Kyle Hoes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good keyboard, average mouse

Like many of the other reviewers here, I've been into keyboards for a very long time and have been through more over the years than I could count. I've been happy with Logitech for a long time. Products especially their mice so I decided to give this one a try. It's a pretty solid keyboard, definitely better than the stock keyboards that come with most OEM PCs (Dell, Gateway, etc.). I don't like the overhead of software drivers for mice and keyboards, so I never install them. With this combo, I only lose a few of the customizable buttons, which I don't miss at all. Both the keyboard and mouse work perfectly without drivers installed. The keyboard is sleek and heavy enough to feel solid. And unlike Logitech's "top of the range" wireless keyboard (diNovo Edge), this one uses regular keys instead of those horrible laptop/laptop keys. However, some of the buttons are slightly misaligned. . If you've been typing fast for years, you'll make a lot of mistakes until you get used to the placement. (For example, the ESC key is too high and the right CTRL key is pressed to the left. And the function keys are about half the size of what we're all used to.) The mouse is also slick and feels pretty good. to keep, but I'm giving it a below average rating because it's an optical mouse, not a laser mouse. Once you go to the laser you will never go back. For this money you would expect an optical mouse. But if you really like the keyboard, invest a few bucks more in a separate laser mouse.
