Me: 6ft 250lbs 3 miles a day / 5 days a week I have enjoyed running in the Kayano for many years. 27 made a BIG change to the line that (I suspect) gave me plantar fasciitis right away. Here are my three biggest takeaways: 1. (Pro) - Cushioning seems to be more than previous models. I liked it.2. (Cons) - Fit: Toe box is huge. I've always ordered 4E shoes down a half size and it's like a pool for my front feet. The lacing area at the top of the foot is smaller. I can't lace and tie my boots and actually close the width of my tongue. 4E has a big toe but a small top? So strange.3. (Con) - midsole shank. Kayanos have always had a cruciform shaft to allow for some torsion. The new model has a durable plastic cover. MUCH more restrictive. I think that's what caused my leg pain. In fact, my first run both legs hurt for about a mile and a half. I've been battling leg pain for two weeks now and have walked about 30 miles. I had to give up and finally try other shoes. Today I did my first run at Brooks Adrenaline and I felt a lot better. Sorry ASICS.
