This review is for a 4 inch mattress topper. Unlike most other reviewers, I did not receive this product for free. It arrived in a much smaller box than I expected - they really packed it. Previous reviews have noted that it was very heavy and for unpacking in the bedroom it would otherwise be too heavy to move - I didn't feel that was the case. It's lightweight and easy to use. It took several hours to inflate, but I was able to sleep on it that night. No smells or anything like that. Although the foam is 2 inches, a cover is advertised that is definitely not around 2 inches thick - maybe 0.75 inches. The "air channels" are reminiscent of old egg carton foam pads - they are quite large. I'm not sure if foam has any cooling properties, especially with a mattress topper on top. I hate being hot at night but it's on par with my regular mattress. I sink into it a bit, but it has just enough support that I don't feel like I'm drowning in it. It hangs about an inch above my mattress on all sides with straight edges. The edges aren't finished and I was afraid it would tear when unpacking and setting up, but no problems. For the money, this is still a decent deal. Too bad I just didn't go for the 3 inch foam over this 2+2. Hopefully it will be a few years before I can buy a brand new mattress.
