not suitable for dogs over 8 years old
I didn't know that it can only be used for dogs under 8 years old. is in the user manual. My dog is 13 years old. I tried anyway because she barks like crazy when my little nephew is around and upsets him. it seemed to have no effect on her. I think they have that age suggestion because as they get older they stop hearing.
