My son usually wears a size 10, but he needed a size 11. His feet are a little wide, barely wide enough, and the length is good, so consider going up the size. He says they have great traction and are comfortable to walk on. They collect a lot of grass and dirt in the tread, especially. when the soil is slightly damp. The outer fabric is a mesh that doesn't feel particularly waterproof. There are hard plastic inserts on each side of the heel. The insole is good but not very arch supportive. No lace loop on the tongue. Overall they seem pretty well made and my son loves them just make sure to give them a thumbs up.
