These scissors are really good. The plastic cover they come with has a magnetic strip on the back that conveniently attaches to any metal surface. However, I have little kids with greedy hands, so I won't leave them open until everyone knows better not to touch them. They are comfortable to hold with either hand, so both hands are promised. The plastic end has a can opener and one other thing I haven't found a use for yet. The scissors are sharp and cut through everything like a knife through butter. When you open them wide enough at the right angle, the blades separate and become a pair of utility knives with different blade types that easily snap back together. If necessary, they also take over the tasks of a can opener. They are easy to clean and store. Well-made, durable scissors for any kitchen emergency.
