Review on Glencairn Whiskey Glass by Stolzle by Dawn Bias

That's great! I used to enjoy my bourbon in rock glasses, but after switching to a more expensive bourbon, I've noticed that everyone uses them. Part of the whiskey experience is being able to 'sniff' it (the ability to capture the characters/flavors in the product) and the shape of this glassware makes it easier to channel the vapors giving you a finer scent. Rapid oxidation, facilitated by aerating the bourbon by rotating the glass, can also help. This particular brand is top notch. They proved durable as I dropped them multiple times. This product will appeal to both novice and experienced tasters and also makes a great gift. I even tested them flying blind with a friend recently. We paired three different bourbons and used Glencairn, a (bent) stack and a stone. Rock came last for each of us, even though it contained different types of bourbon. To ensure we had good control, we sampled the same three bourbons with all of the Glencairn glasses, and we moved up to the bottom of our rankings on each.
