Review on K&N Engine Air Filter: High Performance, Premium, Powersport Air Filter for 1987-2020 YAMAHA (TW200) YA-2002 by Simo Whisperer

I have bought, used and loved many different K&N filters for cars, trucks and motorcycles but this one just doesn't work. It is perfect for TW200. But it lets too much air through. This causes the engine to "run lean" in all gears at high rpm and stall, which is very annoying and somewhat dangerous. At first I thought I had water in the gas, it was that bad. But as soon as I replaced the filter with the original filter, the problem was gone. I'm sure you could re-tune the carburetor to balance the gas/air ratio, but the product description says it's not necessary. The plug-in air filter therefore does not require any additional modifications and only gets one star for it.
