The problem with this seemingly simple gadget isn't the bottle cap half, it's the can piercing (Is that a word? It's now.) As you can see in the picture, the hook is almost in 90° angle to the handle. This means that after you can only grip jars with a strong o-ring, the hole you get will have a very small area and will not reach the rim of the jar (see other picture). To the tool's credit, I was completely unable to bend the tip to make it more useful. So there's a reason the product image is right over your head. because if you don't, you may find that Puncture™ is useless.
