At this price I expected a lot from this tray but it isn't. With my old cats I bought from street vendors. They were wonderful and well built. Their quality has deteriorated a bit over the years, but they've all been much better than this one. The only thing I really like is the look. It's not super sturdy and strong as one would expect. The top is a royal pain to slip on and off. The shelf is very slow. It's very narrow and very small. A stray cat brought her kittens to me a few months ago and I brought them over during the cold weather. I have a total of four litter boxes set up around the house. In the last few days they have used all of them except for this one. I even took them and put them there but they don't like it. As I said, it's not a lot of space, but I figured little kittens would be fine. It is not so. The cleaning tray is on the back and doesn't hold very much. It's not that hard to pull out, although it's on the back and you have to move the tray every time you clean it. At this price I was only expecting to be impressed, but I wasn't impressed at all. There are so many things you can get that work better and are more appealing to your cats. I just can't recommend these. If it was half the price I still wouldn't buy it.
