Review on WindyNation ANL Fuse Holder with 2pcs 200A Fuses by Chad Myers

Rating updated on 08/25/2021; Testing at my shop prior to installation on our Transit RV build and the 4/0 wire to/from this fuse heated up to over 200 degrees and ran a 150 amp test for 10 minutes. After testing my wires and crimps, I replaced that ANL fuse with a 400 AT fuse. Although this fuse may be rated for 300 amps, it cannot handle 300 amps in any way. Very dangerous and so happy I tested in a safe environment where I could switch off quickly. Previous review: We are using the 300A version and our 4/0 spade lugs don't fit under the included cover. So we need to cut the ends to make it fit. Also, the base or holder seems very fragile and will only fit a #8 nut and bolt. If you are using 4/0 or even 2/0, you will need a heavier holder with more than two #8 holes. Of course I hope it lasts a long time! (it's not like this!)
