So maybe from an ergonomic point of view it could be improved, it's quite small and I think it could be modified to make it lighter to hold. However, I would also say that this is not for people with a lot of dead skin. It's like 200 grit (fine/finish) sandpaper. If you have a lot of dead skin, you probably need a coarser tool to remove the bulk. After that, if you don't back away from it, it can be used for maintenance. It makes the skin very smooth as it's like fine sandpaper but I don't want to get into serious initial dead skin removal, it takes too long and wears out your hand. Overall it's good for me and I would recommend this product. It's easy to clean and I think it's a durable little piece of glass that will last a long time. Update I have used this on my palms to remove some calluses and am amazed. My hands have never been so soft and smooth, they really did an amazing job of reaching the soft fresh layer of skin underneath all the dead cells and I am very happy.
