Review on Medium Grade Atoma Diamond Sharpener - #400 by Brandon Garrett

So I know it's a 400 grit diamond stone so it should cut fast right? Well, you'd be surprised how many rough diamonds are as aggressive as a church mouse, in other words, they take forever to do their job. So far this thing has been impressive. I'm a carpenter and I have a ridiculous grinding log for all the different tools in my workshop. There are certain tools that I like to have hollow ground that I use my Tormek on, but on most of my tools (especially carving tools) I like to have a micro-beveled flat grind and this stone cuts fast enough that I resharpen a corner on it can tool. for 10 minutes, then all that remains is to clean the stones and polish the strap. I've only had the stone a few weeks but I've sharpened several tools including chisels, knitting needles, planer knives, knives etc and it did all of those things very quickly. Bonus? It also does a great job of smoothing out my Japanese water stones!
