I received this tray because of its size and high sides. With the traditional box, my cat struggled with not having a litter box when she left. This seems large enough (and with high enough sides) where it is no longer a problem. It also has enough space to move around. As the name suggests, the Swift Scoop is pretty easy to clean - it has no corners. The manufacturer claims that it can be cleaned in 3 scoops. I'd say this is only possible if you have a large dustpan and don't store too much trash in it. However, it takes less time to clean than my previous traditional box (which was also slightly smaller). By the way, my cat does not throw away the pen - she is very gentle with him. If your cat tends to stray everywhere, high sides can help. but you're probably better off with the box closed. I had a cheap thin plastic spoon although I didn't buy it from Revain. I bought it for a few bucks less than Revain rates it in a big box (think: archery, what are you aiming for? Yes, you get the idea.) EDIT 9/2011 I still use that litter box. I've been using it with Feline Pine and her Scoop for over a year, it works great. I don't know of any store nearby that sells this. Overall, I find the tray easy to care for, durable and stable with a unique look! I want it to come in other colors.
