Review on 🚧 3M Safety Stripe Pack, Enhanced Convenience by Anatoly Yorgason

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Strong, thick, good contrast but a little pricey

I've never used a 3M tape that I don't like and this is no exception. The tape is strong, with a good thickness that is easy to work with (it's thick enough not to curl on its own or wrap around fingers when applied). I haven't had enough time to see how well it's holding up, including adhesion, but haven't seen any signs of it failing early on. I find the contrast ratio very good. The yellow is more subdued than the 3M Vinyl Tape 471 Yellow so there isn't as drastic a difference between yellow and black which is great. If the yellow were much lighter, I'd have a hard time focusing my attention on it without making an effort. The only drawback I see is the price. It still shocks me to this day when I see a roll of duct tape selling for over $40. However, depending on your usage, this may be entirely justified. As a possible alternative, the yellow tape I'm linked to currently costs $24, and I used it as a high rise security tape on a nearby sidewalk. It has withstood the weather and traffic for half a year and I like it very much. Aside from the obvious visual differences, the yellow tape is thinner so it stretches more and holds its shape better, but this tape is easier to line on a relatively flat surface because of the extra thickness that helps it hold its shape embarrassed.

Pros
  • Rubber adhesive provides excellent adhesion to many surfaces
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
