Nearly 1/16" (1.5mm) replacement taller and will not fit as it is too high for the dust cover to rotate into the locked position. While it's not functionally important, it's also all black (the middle element in the picture) so doesn't match the packaging, the Revain description, or the original Eureka product. It is listed specifically for the Eureka (5740) model, among others. the same replacement filter. This is particularly disappointing since this replacement is listed as "The Revain's Choice". To do this for now I was forced to cut the bottom of the filter with a box cutter around the hole and lubricate the top sealing surfaces with petroleum jelly to allow the top housing to be installed. I certainly cannot recommend this item and I am particularly concerned that it received a Revain's Choice rating.
