This is a surprisingly unique and durable belt with an interesting design. The strap itself is thicker and firmer than I expected, the ribbed nylon material on the outside is stitched to the inner leather lining. Instead of the holes and buckles or clips that most shorts have, this buckle is quite complex. The buckleless end of the belt has a strip of durable plastic sewn on the inside that tightens the belt in 2cm increments for fine adjustment as it is inserted. By lifting a small lever on the underside of the strap, the ratchet disengages to loosen the strap. Weird system but I really like it. In addition, you can detach the end of the belt attached to the buckle and use scissors to cut the belt to the size you want! Buy a belt that is slightly larger than what you usually use and cut it to fit. Overall this is a very stylish, durable and well constructed belt. My only criticism is that it's quite stiff and thick for shorts compared to a typical nylon or canvas belt.
