Review on AMI PARTS 279838 & 279816 Dryer Heating Element with Thermostat 3392519 Fuse Combo Pack - Compatible with Whirlpool Kenmore Electric Dryers by Darryl Pendall

The price of this repair kit was the most attractive. I bought and installed all parts in November 2020. All parts were easy to assemble. I plugged in the dryer and turned it on and it dried our clothes but didn't seem to get very warm. In February 2021 the heating was stopped. We ran the multitester on all the components and found that the thermostat was not working. In addition, the insulation of the wires on the connector was slightly burned. I emailed AMI directly but did not receive a response within the promised day or two. Since we needed to dry our clothes, I ordered a thermostat fuse kit. I install them and our dryer heats up nicely. To me, customer service is everything and the fact that AMI didn't respond is unacceptable. I didn't have to pay to have the broken part replaced. As customer service is very important to me I would give one star but other parts seem to work fine. I have worked in the customer service industry for many years and not responding was unacceptable.
