Review on Saris CycleOps Trainer Magnetic Adjuster by Francisco Holmes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worth the extra money!

I have only done about 3 sessions on this machine so far but I am very happy with my purchase. Solid construction and very quiet operation. I use it with a 27.5 Diamondback MTB as I live in an apartment and don't always feel like lugging it up 4 flights of stairs after a long ride. I have carpeted floors in my apartment, but the noise level does not cause any inconvenience. I can still watch TV at a normal volume and still hear it perfectly. I can drive it when the kids sleep 1 room away and can't even hear. (By the way, I use a special low-friction training tire for 27.5-inch wheels). I really like being able to adjust the resistance without getting up, I can adjust my exercises on the fly. I was expecting a little more resistance from the magnet, but as this is my first trainer I didn't know what to expect. I wish I had bought it much sooner than I did. Overall very satisfied! Miles on this trainer and swap my MTB for a real road bike, I am very happy with this trainer. He's holding up great. Great low end trainer for the money. I will probably update it next year but this one will be given to my fiancee for her indoor outings.

Pros
  • ON WHEEL: Attaches to the rear wheel of the bike, no need to remove the wheel or disassemble the bike.
Cons
  • I will add later
