I almost gave it back when I realized it was too short to be used as a paper towel basket. It's very hard to find a decent trash can that fits under my 34" bike. I'll keep the old Sterlite and paint it when the weather's good enough to do it outside. Anyway, this little tank is so cute and I bought it. one on wheels, so I wanted to just leave it. I've decided to leave it somewhere else in the kitchen and it's selling really well as a bin. So far the opening and closing mechanism works perfectly, let's see. Wheels, manual lock and deodorant features are all great. I am using batteries at the moment but I bought a charger to use later as it is close to an outlet. It is ideal for recycling, mainly cans and milk jugs. I could hide the 13 gallon bags I use, but it's too much fiddling with the bag and I really don't mind that it's a little visible. The plastic ring that holds the bag in place is fine, just don't step on it or anything like that. Back to the wheels, they are good casters that just slide in and lock into place, I recommend the wheeled version. Will update if the mechanism fails, but again, while perfect, it's very quiet. I love it. Oh, and it was packaged well with no scratches or dents.
