I bought this hat mainly based on other reviews. I have had many Boony caps over the years and thought I would try this new 2nd generation cap. In terms of functionality, this seems like a reasonably well made hat that gets the job done. I miss the nylon loops on top that almost all butts have. I like the cord locks and the adjustable cord. But this hat looks pretty silly to me with a rather large puff top. Most buni have a fairly smooth top and sloping sides. This leaves the top of the head quite swollen. The edges are adequate but don't hold a straight line well. Brim tends to get a little fidgety but works well. If you're not concerned about looks, this hat should serve you well. If you want a classic straight edge with a sleek look, this isn't for you.
