I recently decided to clean up my kitchen table by installing a magnetic knife block; It's great for storing the knives I use every day, but I needed a storage solution for my steak knives and some random paring knives. These edge protectors are great because they allow me to safely store those extra knives in my desk drawer. Plus, I can toss a small, protected knife in my lunch bag or picnic basket without worrying about accidents later. As mentioned by some other reviewers, if your knife blade meets the handle at an angle, you may need to modify them slightly, but this was very easy with a pair of sturdy scissors.
