Many of our middle school teachers have started using shoe organizers to store students' cell phones during class. This one has smaller pockets at the top and larger pockets in the middle for phablets. Sure, students can lie and say they don't have it, but when the bell rings or I see it peeking out of their pockets, they know they've been sent to the VP's office for parent pickup. Additionally, students actually realize they are addicted to their phones and appreciate the disconnect that allows them to focus on their work.
