I was surprised how well this goes with the recliner, waffle chenille or velvet. However, I sent mine back as one of them had a hard spot on the fabric and the color wasn't what I expected. Ivory looks more like beige cornmeal (the rug in the photo is actually ivory). This time I will order gray and see if that color works because I like the quality. Also, I have chairs with a retractable handle inside the seat instead of the traditional handle on the side, but I think it will still work if the armrest cover is turned upside down. I will post updated photos when I get the new grey. UPDATE: I decided to keep this item due to the softness of the fabric compared to other chair covers. The photo below shows after I put it on without much tacking. I also note that these are glider chairs with a round metal base so stabilizing straps don't work. I'm hoping the upholstery pins I'm buying will hold it in place, but for now I just attached the ties to the base like I would if I were tying my sneakers (see drawing of the backrest of the chair).
