This is ASICS' attempt to create an over-budget shoe for the very budget-conscious, low-impact consumer. It's commendable that the company has come up with such a model, but with solidly budget models like the Contend and Venture, it makes you wonder if it's worth shelling out the extra $10 for extra features. I would say the extra $10 would be well spent. Although they are soft, I found them to be hard as well. They feel chunky, but the uppers are very thin. They lack the midfoot support and durable outsole found in other budget shoes like the Contend. They don't seem suited for anything other than casual wear, while the Contend and Venturr can be used for serious walking and running. I'd say only buy them if you can find them very cheap and don't expect them to work well if you're active other than a little walk. Save your money and buy a pair of Contends or Ventures, both of which I've used and consider great budget shoes.
