Review on ๐Ÿฑ Premium Metal Cat Litter Scooper: Long Handle Aluminum Scoop for Easy Cleaning | Non-Stick Stronger Sifter for Large Multi-Cat Families by Rhonda Ackerman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Should have bought it a few months ago. Would buy again.

I got this because I have a bad knee. Every time I squat or kneel, I get hamstringitis again. I needed a way to deal with kitty litter. The long handled dustpan was the best idea. Should have gotten one of these six months ago. I got the 32 inch. Advantages: 1. I can scoop without bending over. (I'm 5'7"). And don't bend your knees at all. 2. It's metal 3. My partner, who is good at kneeling, actually prefers this scoop to our regular one. 4. Works great with clay and traditional fillers. Cons: 1. The extended handle section is threaded to extend its length up to 32". One piece is woven into the other. I tend to twist my wrist (counterclockwise) while scooping. This only loosens the strings on this shovel slightly, not so much that they come loose, just a little bit looser. But overall it wasn't a problem. I just retighten. And if I wasn't lazy, I could Simply coat threads with glue to make a permanent 32" shovel. 2. Pine pellets don't sift through the chinks. At least not the pine brand we just switched one of our boxes to. But we did en three boxes and it works great with other fillers. It costs $26 to spare me the constant recurrence of tendinitis in my knee when I dig out litter boxes. Even if it breaks and I have to buy a new one every few months. It would still cost $ not to restart my knee. I recommend this or something similar for people with bad knees, injuries or the elderly.
