Review on Makita 6095D Cordless Driver Drill Reversible by Brandon Skeet

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Five stars Makita & Revain Two stars for the seller.

The experience of purchasing this drill/screwdriver was a bit messy. It originally sold for $34.99, but it didn't have the two batteries promised, and I soon found one battery arrived. c does not last more than a few hours on a charge. Revain customer service refunded $20.00 of the purchase price so I could buy a new 2200mah battery so it worked acceptably (it ended up being $14.99). it was in "good" condition. Well it works but it arrived quite dirty, stained with paint and the carrying handle was broken. After cleaning it up and making a new carry handle I now have a pretty good old Makita to replace the one I had that eventually died. In fact, I would have paid more for that old drill/screwdriver. They are better. Note: These old Makita drills are much better than the newer drill/screwdrivers because the handle geometry allows you to pull straight with the chuck when you pull the trigger with your ring finger (next to your pinky). This allows easy screwing without pre-drilling. As someone who has spent years installing insulation on roofs with screws, sometimes 24 inches long, with a screwdriver, through metal decks, I can say with some authority that almost all new cordless drills have a handle set, like this that your hand has been displaced so much that it is difficult to keep the drill or screw straight when pressing. The new geometry of modern cordless drills is by no means an improvement.
